Two people were injured Tuesday in a Palestinian Arab terror attack that took place at the main junction in Gush Etzion on Highway 60.
The terrorist “attempted to ram his car into pedestrians waiting at a bus stop in the Gush Etzion junction,” the IDF said in a statement.
“The attacker then left his car and attempted to stab the pedestrians. A civilian and soldier were both injured and evacuated for medical treatment. Security forces on scene shot the attacker,” the IDF said.
A 20-year-old soldier and a 30-year-old civilian were wounded in the attack. The civilian was hit by the car but was fully conscious. The younger victim was walking around and had wounds on his arms and legs. Both were evacuated to Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center.
The attacker hit and knocked over at least two of the concrete security barriers, including one was that was struck so hard it “came out of the ground,” said an eyewitness.
