Private G. serves as a car mechanic in an artillery unit.
In October, an Arab terrorist drove a tractor into an IDF base near Ramallah trying to run over soldiers. Private G. and munitions officer Lt. Shachar Vaknin killed the terrorist.

Private G. had been fixing a jeep at the time when he heard a loud noise. He and Vaknin ran out, saw the terror attack in progress, shot at and killed the terrorist, saving lives.
On Monday, both men received a medal for their quick action.
Private G. said that he always knew he would serve in the IDF, and give back to the state.
Private G., a Christian Arab, prefers to not have his name mentioned, so he won’t have problems in the Arab village in northern Israel where he lives.
