Israeli police sappers were called Wednesday evening to detonate a roadside bomb apparently planted by Palestinian Arab terrorists on a road in Samaria.

The trap was well laid: The explosive appeared to be an unobtrusive object on the road connecting the small Jewish communities of Peduel and Bruchin.

The sappers detonated the object – which actually was a bomb – without fanfare. No injuries were reported in the incident.

Earlier this evening, a Border Guard Police officer sustained facial wounds while she was working to disperse a mob of stone-throwing Palestinian Arabs who were attacking the police. The officer, who required medical treatment, was evacuated to a medical facility.
