A terrorist who was shot and killed by Israeli police after stabbing an IDF soldier and stealing his gun in Kiryat Gat on Wednesday was a member of Hamas.

The Gaza-based terrorist organization has confirmed that Ahmed al-Jundi was a member of the Hebron branch of the group.

Jundi was a resident of Yatta, a suburb of Hebron.
