The July deal requires the IAEA board to submit a resolution to the IAEA Board of Governors “for taking necessary action, with a view to closing the issue” of so-called possible military dimensions (PMD) of Iran’s nuclear activities.

U.S. administration officials said on Wednesday that even if the IAEA board votes to close the investigation, the agency can resume its probe if new information arises.
