The incident took place near the turnoff for the Arab village of Beit Fajar.

The terrorist then fled in his vehicle towards Beit Fajar, officials said. A district spokesperson added that a traffic patrol vehicle attempted to block the terrorist’s vehicle but he escaped nevertheless.

The targeted officers were not injured, although their vehicle was slightly damaged in the attack.

Police have thrown a dragnet around the area and were searching for the terrorist along with IDF personnel.
