Truman (CVN 75); fleet replenishment oiler USNS Big Horn (T-AO 198); the guided missile destroyer USS Ross (DDG 71); the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72); and the guided missile cruiser USS Normandy (CG 60) cruise in formation under way in the Gulf of Oman.
That’s a lot of firepower against one confused and already bloodied Syria. Wouldn’t want to be facing a group like this one. Imagine President Assad waking up Thursday morning with this bunch, possibly more of the same (there’s a whole lot where these came from) laid out off his favorite beach.
These days you need nerves of steel to be a ruthless despot, I’m telling you.
