The historic Siyum Hashas of Daf Yomi for English-Speakers has generated tremendous interest in the Anglo community in Israel. The event, organized by the well-known media company IMP Group and under the auspices of Kollel Iyun Hadaf, headed by Rabbi Mordechai Kornfeld, will be held at Binyanei Ha’uma on January 1, 2020 – simultaneously with the Siyum Hashas in New York City at the MetLife Stadium.
The siyum marks the completion of the 13th cycle of the global Daf Yomi, started in 1923 by Rosh Yeshivas Chachmei Lublin Rav Meir Shapiro zt”l. This festive celebration is open to all who love and cherish Torah – men, women and children. Women will be seated in designated areas and will be able to follow proceedings via close-circuit video. Speakers will feature well-known English-speaking Torah luminaries and scholars.
