In the Upper Galilee, 750 m above sea level, the steep slopes of the Naphtali Ridge descend into the Hula Valley, creating a rocky “wall”. Hiking to the highest point of the ridge rewards the weary traveler with the magnificent views of Southern Lebanon, the Hula Valley, Mt. Hermon and the Golan Heights. At the heart of this picturesque region is the Manara Cliff – Israel’s leading Adventure Park, which people of all ages can enjoy. The park is open all year round and offers unique activities and memorable experiences to the lovers of nature and outdoor fun. This year, the park is celebrating its 20th anniversary.

The adventure begins before you even arrive: the first attraction is the longest, and the most breathtaking, cable-car route in Israel (1,940 m), which connects the northern city of Kiryat Shmona to Kibbutz Manara and the Manara Cliff Adventure Park located 888 m above sea level.

Apart from being an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience, the cable-car can take you to three stations along the way, each featuring a variety of unique extreme attractions:

Lower station – alpine slides, cable cars, bungee trampolines; Extreme Cliff (intermediate station) – rappelling, wall climbing, archery; Upper station – cliff train, walking/hiking, navigation routes.

The sloping ground (in a combination with the cable car) is a venue for downhill and all-mountain bike riders. Six downhill tracks of various difficulty levels are available to the public, and the 23 km-long single-track on the Naphtali Hills, which traverses the plateau from north to south, is considered one of Israel’s most impressive.

The park offers three types of magnificent walking routes that are open to the public at no extra charge. The Circular Underbrush route suitable for the entire family; the Riddles Route featuring fun riddles scattered throughout the route; the Historical Route – a stunning path whose lookout point offers views of the Hula Valley, the Golan Hills and Mt. Hermon. Groups can book walking routes (from the Sidkei Yiftakh Nature Reserve to the Upper Kadesh spring). A part of the path dovetails with the famous Israel Trail.

The Manara Lodge, located on the top of the cliff offers comfortable lodging and well-equipped rooms available for an overnight stay. The accommodation package includes a delicious breakfast and a “FREE-PASS”, which provides a free entrance to the Manara Cliff Adventure Park and full use of all the facilities throughout your stay at no additional cost! The complex consists of 55 rooms spread over five buildings, a dining room, a lobby, a conference hall and a synagogue.

Just a few minutes away from the Manara cliff is a bird watcher’s paradise – the Agamon Hula Ornithology and Nature Park. The region is a focus of one of the world’s most important bird migration routes, with more than half a billion birds flying over it during the fall and spring migration seasons. Israel is known around the world for birdwatching, and now you can take part in it!

Another great family attraction to try while staying at the Manara lodge is kayaking. Multiple kayak stations offer activities like kayak rafting and riverboats down a selection of routes on the Jordan and Hasbani rivers.

If you’re visiting Israel – don’t limit yourself to seeing Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. Family trips, birthdays, Bar/Bat Mitzvas and any other important events in your life will become even more memorable, meaningful and fun at the Manara Cliff Adventure Park. The park is a perfect way to recharge your batteries, experience the real countryside, get in touch with nature and see what the Upper Galilee is all about.

Test your limits and send your adrenaline through the roof with extreme sports!
