Last Wednesday evening, the Zaroge and Gozlan families rebuilt their homes after the police withdrew from their hilltop. The families and dozens of friends worked throughout the night, and amidst song and dancing, the families moved back home.

On January 15, upon orders sanctioned by Defense Minister Naftali Bennett, the Israeli Police and IDF destroyed the homes of the Zaroge and Gozlan families, located in Kumi Ori, adjacent to Yitzhar in the Shomron. Several days later, when the police left the area, the families began to rebuild their homes, but the police returned and knocked down walls the settlers had erected. Now the homes are standing once again.

Neriyah Zaroge told The Jewish Press, “We will build our homes again and again if we have to until we win the battle. Their bulldozers, courts, and prisons won’t dissuade us. Eretz Yisrael belongs to the Jews and we will freely settle the width and breadth of the Land, in areas A, B, and C – just as our forefathers did in building the Jewish nation.

“Neither the United Nations nor the United States nor the government of Israel can overrule Hashem’s gift of this land to Am Yisrael. The word of Hashem will endure forever.”
