Mahmoud Abbas is considered the Head of the Palestinian Authority and a so called “partner in peace”. The first thing that needs to be done to remedy the real situation is to force him to retract his thesis and remove his book based on the thesis of his Doctorate- which is a work of lies and hate not only against Israel and the Jewish people but for our families HY”D who perished in the Holocaust.
This book claims, amongst other lies, that there was a conspiracy between the Jewish people and the Nazis to invent the Holocaust and that the Holocaust actually never happened. Along with this, Abbas claims that the Jews collaborated with the Nazis to persecute and murder the Jews in Europe in order to demand a Jewish State here in Israel.
This book not only appears on the official PA web site but is taught in Arab schools even within Jerusalem. The idea that Abbas could ever be considered any partner of the Jewish people or the State of Israel is unacceptable and shocking.
There are many instances of double standards by the same Abbas including the condemnation of the murderous terror attack in the synagogue in Har Nof , Jerusalem by two Arabs . I would wish to quote the so-called condemnation as reported by PMW Bulletin, and the difference between the words used by Abbas to condemn a terror incident in Sydney Australia.
Condemnation of massacre of four Jews in Jerusalem :
Abbas: “The leaders of the Palestinians have always condemned terror and killing of citizens from any side, and it condemns today the the act of killing that took place today in western Jerusalem in the synagogue.
In addition it condemns the violent actions whatever the source, and demands to stop the break-ins to the Mosque of El -Aksa, the provocations of settlers and the incitement of some of the Israeli ministers.
In addition, the leadership emphasizes that it is time to end the occupation and finallize the cause of tensions and violence. We emphasize our commitment to a fair solution based on two States, as per the decision of the International institutions, and our commitment to protect the calm atmosphere and the understandings which were acheived with King Abdulla the Second, and Secretary of State of America, John Kerry in Rabat Amon, Jordan in November 2014. “(as reported on the official PA site November 18, 2014)
Condemnation by Abbas of the terror incident in Australia:
Chairman Mahmoud Abbas condemned the holding captive of dozens of Australian citizens in Sydney, captial of Australia by an armed group of terrorists. In a telegram that President Abbas sent to the Prime Minister of Australia it is written,
“With deep concern we received the message regarding the abominable terror attack, where dozens of innocent citizens from within your friendly nation in Sydney were held hostage. In the name of the State of Palestine and our Nation, and in my name personally, we are condemning these abominable and criminal acts, and are bringing to you our complete and total opposition to them. They are against all values, and understandings and levels of human ethics, and humanitarian religions. We emphasize before your State, government and friendly Nation that we stand with you and share with you the difficult circumstances that you are going through, and we hope that this will be resolved with the release of the hostages and their return to their families safe and sound.” (Official PA site December 16, 2014)
It is necessary to end the endless incitement against Israel by Abbas and the PA on their official sites and statements. The double standard of Abbas who pretends to be against terror while his book of lies is on the official site of the PA and is taught in their schools must be dealt with immediately.
The continued incitement and endless lies including the following statement by PA chairman Mahmoud Abbas, “We celebrate the birth of Jesus, a Palestinian messenger of love, justice and peace” (Wafa December 22, 2014) must be stopped.
We witnessed the brutal attacks within Nazereth on the eve of Christmas when Arab Moslems attacked and threw rocks at the homes of Arab Christians who serve in the Israeli Defense Forces, and endangered their lives and those of their families because these Christian Arabs are loyal to the State of Israel where they live.
It is clear when one sees today the actions of the terror organizations all over the world, that the lessons of the Holocaust were not learned and that yes, it can happen again – even though today we have a State and army – the dangers are very acute not only for Israel but for the entire world. There must be an immediate end to the lies and double standards of Abbas and the PA.
