Dumb Question: If it’s Dangerous to Hitchhike Because of Arabs, Then How Could They be Trusted to Make Peace?
I’ll word it differently:
If we can’t trust that they won’t prey on us to kill us, then how can we trust them as “partners in peace,” sic?
There’s something very off in many people’s thinking. On one hand, they are willing to give Arabs land, independence and sovereignty, right here in the heartland of Israel. That they think can be done. They insist that Mahmoud Abbas who has just joined forces with Hamas is reliable and trustworthy. They insist that he is the “peace partner” we’ve (not me, but the politicians and media) always dreamed of.
So I just don’t understand how we can make peace with him but we can’t travel freely by foot, car or tremping where his followers may pass.
What do you think?
