Many Reasons To Oppose Senator Gillibrand
New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand is “America’s Neville Chamberlain, a public official who has betrayed the cause of a strong and free Israel,” charged Gillibrand’s Republican challenger, Chele Farley.
Farley contended that Gillibrand has “emerged as a leader of the dangerous socialist left of the Democratic Party which has turned its back on Israel.”
“New Yorkers deserve to know that in the name of blind ambition Kirsten Gillibrand has abandoned her principles,” said Farley. The Republican candidate posited that Gillibrand is positioning herself to the far-left as part of a strategy to run for president in 2020.
“We cannot give an inch and we can never turn a blind eye to anti-Semitism in any form and at any time,” said Farley. “As New York’s Senator, I will be rock solid in my support of Israel, our greatest ally in the Middle East.”
Farley ramped up her criticism of Gillibrand after the politician two weeks ago continued her association with anti-Israel radical Linda Sarsour by appearing with the extremist at a Washington D.C. rally.
Two weeks ago, this reporter outlined “five reasons Gillibrand is dangerous for Israel”:
1. Gillibrand broke from the mainstream of the Democratic Party when she withdrew support from the “Israel Anti-Boycott Act,” which opposes the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement targeting Israel.
2. Gillibrand provided key support for President Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran, which the Israeli government strongly opposed over security concerns. She also opposed Trump’s decision to leave the Iran accord in hopes of negotiating a better deal.
3. Gillibrand glowingly praised Sarsour.
4. Gillibrand sided with an anti-Israel activist who claimed the Israeli government does not respect Palestinian rights. She also criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who offered the Palestinians a state on numerous occasions, as “not hav[ing] a plan for peace.”
5. Gillibrand voted against confirming Israel supporter David Friedman as President Trump’s ambassador to Israel.
Trump Tower Collusion Conspiracy Continues To Collapse
The already collapsed Trump Tower collusion conspiracy continued to further implode during an exclusive interview between this reporter and Rob Goldstone, the English publicist who sent Donald Trump Jr. the infamous email claiming Russian dirt on Hillary Clinton that led to the June 9, 2016 meeting.
Goldstone was also inside the Trump Tower conference room and witnessed the entire get together between top Trump campaign officials and four Russian nationals.
Not only did he not witness any attempts to steal an election, as the collusion conspiracy tale goes, Goldstone characterized as “inane nonsense” the contents of the presentation, mostly conducted by Russian attorney Natalia Veselnitskaya, a lobbyist acting to counter the Magnitsky Act.
He said that he told Trump Jr. he was “embarrassed” for setting up the nearly 25-minute confab in the first place.
During the interview, Goldstone conceded that he made up the phraseology based on his own assumptions when he wrote the email to Trump Jr. claiming “some official documents and information that would incriminate Hillary” as “part of Russia and its government’s support for Mr. Trump.”
“I got it from the mind of Rob Goldstone, the publicist,” Goldstone said of the email wording, which was widely cited by the news media but which he says he wrote in about three minutes.
“I didn’t know what I was talking about,” Goldstone conceded of his email, explaining the missive was “puffery” deliberately designed to capture the attention of Trump Jr.
Matching descriptions from other participants, Goldstone said the confab was mostly a “monotonous, droning” policy presentation by Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya about the Magnitsky Act, which sanctions Russian officials accused of involvement in the death of a Russian tax accountant.
He said he believes the meeting was a “bait and switch” in which Veselnitskaya used the claim of dirt on Hillary Clinton to land a meeting with Trump campaign officials and then instead used his entry to talk about the Magnitsky Act, which she had been lobbying against.
