The Chief Rabbi of England, Rabbi Jonathan Sacks, is a wise and sensitive man. Yet his public statements both past and present, all too often perpetuate the mythology that “authentic Islam” rejects the version exhibited by ISIS savages. This mirrors the politically correct narrative of Islam being an enlightened monotheistic faith, which contributed to philosophy, science, and the arts.
In truth, no Chief Rabbi of England (or anywhere in Europe for that matter) can honestly reflect on Islam. Chief Rabbis of European countries are usually theologically liberal on many issues, and they reside in countries with large, growing, hostile Muslim populations who share their forebears’ penchant for honor killings, female genital mutilation, and generalized jihad. Such tolerant perspectives are shaped by pragmatism and political correctness, and cultivated by a worldview fostered by virtue of their living in their host European countries. In a sense, their views mirror those of their leaders. Academic and theological credentials aside, it is these very qualities, which render them suitable candidates to become chief rabbis in liberal Europe.
It is always interesting when people educate Muslims of what THEIR “true” faith professes as its core beliefs and principles. Such individuals require us to ignore Islam’s long bloody history, which continues unabated in the age of the smartphone; all of it legitimized by the Quran, the hadiths, and the religious rulings of Islamic thinkers who head Islamic institutions of theology. Are we to believe that Rabbi Sacks knows better than hundreds of millions of Muslims who adhere to what their own religious leaders know to be truth? Should we ignore the few brave voices of former Muslims who lived under Islam and escaped to tell the tale, even as they live the rest of their lives with a permanent fatwa on their heads?

Barack Hussein Obama’s affinity for Islam explains the infiltration of the Muslim Brotherhood into the highest echelons of U.S. government (as reported by top security officials). From such a man who loathes America, it is part of an overall plan to transform America. Yet even the well-intended make egregious mistakes. The great Islamic scholar George W. Bush taught us that 9/11 was committed by people who hijacked Islam. Since then, celebrities, pundits, academics, and European leaders never fail to remind us that Islam is a noble religion. Today we have the spectacle of a prominent Chief Rabbi of England using his pulpit to share similar views on Islam with the entire world. If indeed the Rabbi’s words were correct, it would be marginally safer for a Jew to walk around in London. (Not with a kipah of course!)
I have written about Islam before and thought I had treated the subject thoroughly. Yet a response is necessary when a man of Rabbi Jonathan Sacks’ stature speaks about Islam. Rabbi Sacks may be knowledgeable in many things, but he harbors a sanitized, European understanding of Islam, which casts a romantic light on an idealized notion that the enlightened believe to be true. Therefore, I am offering some additional points to complement my previous article, “Islam”(featured in The Jewish Press).
We have all seen the silly hashtags. #Notinmyname. The alleged voice of an Islamic majority that opposes Islamic violence and barbarism. The fairy-tale of a persecuted majority who cannot control a minority of savages spreading death and devastation across the globe. Yet this is precisely where many conservative pundits and politicians go astray. They acknowledge and accept that many, and perhaps most, Muslims are extreme. Yet they still use the same politically correct terms to show that they do not oppose ALL Muslims. Radical Islam. Islamic radicals. Muslim extremists. Jihadists. The politically correct left refuses to use these terms. The right insists on qualifying their words with these terms.

The British authorities would jail Churchill if he uttered such sentiments today. Yet his analysis was correct, and Britain would be wise to absorb its message. Islam is a religion of jihad, a struggle against infidels. There is no moderation, and there is no “radical Islam,” as the Islamic leader of Turkey once correctly reminded us. What ISIS is doing today is what their “prophet” and his successors did to infidels and dhimmis throughout history. To learn about Islam, one needs to read the works of the few courageous scholars who define the enemy by its true name. Scholars such as Bat Ye’or, Andrew Bostom, Ibn Warraq, and Robert Spenser have all made remarkable contributions revealing Islam’s true face, in an age of stifled truths and political correctness. Previously untranslated works of Islamic law are now available in English for the first time in history. I would personally recommend Andrew Bostom’s “The Legacy of Islamic Anti-Semitism,” which is a unique compendium of rare documentation of Islam’s evils against Jews throughout history. Even the knowledgeable reader will discover previously unknown horrors detailing Islam’s brutal treatment of Jews. A Jew who parrots the nonsense of Islam’s “historical tolerance of Jews” illustrates that they have never read this and other important works.
Numbers do not grant legitimacy to evil. Millions of people adhering to an evil ideology are merely terrifying examples of how rampant Islam is. Anecdotally, the “moderate” Muslims I met in college were usually Muslims who learned to mask their true intentions. Yet when pressed, they were usually honest and exposed themselves with chilling views legitimizing such monstrous acts as suicide bombings. Invariably, whenever Israel would respond to Arab terror (usually in a controlled manner), many of these moderates showed their true positions. Take the Muslim Students Association on American campuses, which portrayed themselves as “cultural clubs” for moderate American Muslims on college campuses. David Horowitz of the Freedom Center exposed the MSA’s connection with the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood.
Islam is a savage religion of blood worship and death. A faith of violence and coercion. Burnings. Mutilations. Crucifixions. Beheadings. In terms of its indiscriminate use of violence, and its culture of human sacrifice (even child sacrifice), I agree with Dr. Paul Eidelberg who opined:
“It is pure paganism to sacrifice a human being to Allah. If Islam can be construed to permit such sacrifice, then it is diametrically opposed to the ethical monotheism of Judaism.”-“Judaism vs. Islam”, Paul Eidelberg
The Islam of today is the Islam of Muhammed who wreaked horror throughout Arabia and destroyed the remaining Jewish tribes of the region. Islam is death, destruction, and brutal subjugation. ISIS is the same as Fatah, Hezbollah, and Hamas; they are simply more effective in their barbarism. Mohammed would be proud of ISIS, since they are replicating his conquests.
The Chief Rabbi of England, may he live and be well, is a man of books. Let him start his Islamic education by reading a proper uncensored translation of the Koran before he reflects on Islam’s teachings. The problem is that if he insists on participating in interfaith discussions with supposed moderate Muslims, he will remain incapable of discerning truth. Many of these polite moderates oppose violence in Europe, but readily support violence against Jews in what they call “Palestine.” Let him delve into the many bloody hadiths, which speak of rocks and trees imploring Muslims to kill Jews. Let him read scholarly works on Islam, from Islamic theologians themselves, to critical scholarly works not authored by John Esposito and Karen Armstrong, two infamous apologists for Islam.
Our age suffers from the madness of universalism-gone wild. The desire to define everyone as essentially wanting the same thing, peace and tranquility. Naiveté and ignorance renders such people as prey. This is what is happening in Europe. Moreover, America is slowly going the same way, as a society shaped by liberal government, leftist indoctrination, and a morally relative media has undermined a once great nation. Israel of course, undermines its survival by refusing to define her enemies. This historian Netanyahu uses the same sanitized rhetoric.
Islamic society desires chaos and death. Islam commits the worst atrocities across the world. ISIS is not the anomaly. It is the fullest and truest expression of Islam showing us the darkness of its theology. Jihad is not a parable, an allegory; it is certainly not MIDRASH lehavdil! They represent authentic Islam. One day, the Caliphate of English Eurabia will destroy every vestige of Judaism in England. Basic arithmetic confirms that the future of England is sharia law. On that day, there will be no chief rabbis, and there will be no Jews. (There will be no Church of England for that matter.) I believe that the Chief Rabbi of England fails to grasp this point.
And true to form, one finds similar liberal sentiments in America, where the hyper-enlightened clamor for the “humanitarian rights” of thousands of strong, adult, Islamic men to be allowed entry into the United States, even in the wake of the attack in Paris, and the inferno that is destroying Europe. Obama speaks of widows and orphans, and all I see are pictures and videos of angry Muslim men who will make America bleed, if Heaven forbid, Obama gets his wish. At the forefront of this battle, we find the same carbon copy liberal Jews whose define their Judaism with a seemingly illogical need to self-destruct.
The Torah warns us that the war with the truest of evils persists in every generation. We need to open our eyes and define evil, with no regard for cowards who would rather bury their heads than take a provocative stand. Next time you doubt it, flood your cranium with any number of videotaped Islamic atrocities against Jews and non-Jews who suffer from Islamic barbarism. For such people, it might constitute a halachic requirement to subject themselves to the image of crucifixions, burnings, lynchings, and beheadings. Heaven help the infidel or dhimmi who falls beneath Islam’s sword.
When Moshiach finally arrives (should I merit seeing his arrival) I will have questions for him, yet the identity of our ancient foe will not be one of them. The evidence is all around us in Israel. Arabs murdered Ezra Schwartz, age 18, last week. An Arab stabbed Hadar Buchris to death, aged 21, as she waited for the bus yesterday.
The pictures circulating on Facebook are haunting, these photos of precious Jews in the prime of life who were murdered by Arabs. Fueled by a genocidal hatred based upon the Quran, the Arabs (and Muslims in general) are indeed an “Am Lak”, a nation who drinks blood. May G-d avenge their blood.
Islam today is Amalekism run rampant, and in that sense, they are todays Nazis. They are capable of repeating and Heaven forbid surpassing the worst Nazi atrocities. Those who appreciate this are in a position to destroy this global evil. Those who are not, are ensuring that one day a modern day Amalek will feed the non-Islamic world into the furnace. And as always, we Jews are at the top of the death pool.
In our age of twitter, I have a hashtag of my own. Netanyahu will not say it. Nor will Naftali Bennett, who presumably believes in the theoretical concept but cannot reconcile the math with his notion of a 99.9% of “peaceful Israeli-Arabs.” If the authorities should harass me for incitement, I will state that I learned it from the teachings of that renowned zealot,Rabbi Joseph B. Soloveitchik, of blessed memory (See Kol Dodi Dofek).
