Even more jarring is that the UN body calls the entire Judea and Samaria “Palestinian” – when in fact the Oslo Accords recognize only a small part of it – Area A – as belonging to the PA. Area B of Judea and Samaria remains under Israeli security control, while Area C – that is, those areas with Jewish population, among many other tracts of the territory – is recognized as totally under Israeli control. Whither comes off the Human Rights Council as taking a stance so totally in opposition to the internationally orchestrated Oslo Agreement?

To conclude, let us note that the recent rock-throwing attacks at the Western Wall were the work of a Hamas-identified terrorist cell. The Shabak, with the help of Israel’s Jerusalem Police District, announced that it had arrested the five cell members, the driving force of the March 8attacks in which nine Israeli policemen were injured. The terrorists are residents of the Shuafat refugee camp – the only one of its type within municipal Jerusalem borders.

Interestingly, Shuafat was founded in 1966 by Jordan, which settled the camp with residents living in the then-abandoned Jewish Quarter of the Old City. Just a year later, after Israel had liberated the Old City, it found no Arabs living in the old Jewish homes, smoothly paving the way for the renovation of the area and the return of its Jewish population.
