Yesterday the Knesset passed the Regulation Law,  which says more or less the following: “True, we robbed the lands of another nation, but wherever we have already settled the robbed lands, we will ignore international law and remain there.”

The Right, currently celebrating the “historic” law, will soon discover that it was wrong on two counts: First, Israel’s High Court will nullify the law. Then, it will discover that, in the eyes of the world, the Regulation Law establishes Israel as the perpetual sorehead, the colonialist who cries in disbelief when the victims of his robbery attempt to restore their property by means of stabbing the robber.

In one month, all that will be left of the “historic” law will be the ruins of Amona and Israeli recognition of the “holy” land allocation of the Jordanian occupation. After 50 years  in Judea and Samaria, Israel can no longer play games. The real solution – and the only option Israel has – is to stop acting like thieves. We must return to the justice of our cause and apply full Israeli sovereignty over the entire Land of Israel.
