The ultimate dissolution of the Purim Association was due to its selective membership practices; the eventual lack of interest and devotion to significant work that went into the planning and organization of the Association; and, perhaps most important, the lack of structured leadership following Myer Isaacs and the subsequent deaths of the original members.
Nevertheless, this highly regarded philanthropic Jewish organization left a lasting mark on American society in general and on the integration of Jews into American society in particular.
