Rabbi Jack Simcha Cohen

A few years back when I assumed the rabbanus in my present congregation, Kahal Bnei Matisyahu in Flatbush, a number of procedural matters left me in a quandary. I turned to HaRav Cohen for guidance and successfully instituted many of his suggestions. Though he was a true talmid chacham, his greatest strength was that he was a true friend to anyone who sought him out.

His passing is not only a great loss for his rebbetzin, his children, and his grandchildren; it leaves a gaping void in the American rabbinate.
