Something tells me she’s one elected official who won’t become jaded and power hungry as she amasses more experience. A politician who does things is rare enough; even rarer is the politician who does things in the interests of the public rather than for the sake of his or her own career.

More Missiles For Hizbullah
Your July 24 editorial “The Iran Deal: More Questions Than Answers” asked, “Will the release to Iran of tens of billions of formerly frozen dollars enhance the country’s facilitation of terror?”
The Wall Street Journal reported last year that Hizbullah already has about 100,000 rockets stationed in southern Lebanon and pointed at Israel. Those rockets were paid for by Tehran. The billions of dollars that will be freed up for Iran’s use as a result of the nuclear agreement will enable the regime to further strengthen Hizbullah’s military capabilities.
Nobody talks very much about Hizbullah’s rockets these days. They’re not considered newsworthy at the moment. But by the time Western governments start paying attention, it will be too late.
The dangers of waiting too long were amply illustrated by the case of the Gaza terror tunnels. Quietly, over the years, with Iranian funds, Hamas dug the tunnels that it hoped to use for mass terror and kidnappings of Israelis.
It was only at the very last moment that the tunnels were discovered and destroyed. The Iranian build-up of Hizbullah, by contrast, is taking place in broad daylight – and now the Obama administration proposes to give Tehran the funds that will be used to reinforce and expand the terrorists’ infrastructure.
