This was reminiscent of the scenes I witnessed in Gush Katif prior to and during the expulsion of 10,000 Jews from those 21 communities in 2005. Many of the people are still suffering from the after-effects of that garush. We can’t let this happen again.
The Knesset is passing legislation that will not allow false claims to again threaten Jewish lives. Tragically, this seems to bypass Amona. Voices of outrage must be raised. It is obscene for a Jewish government to expel its own Jews from land on which they have been living for twenty years, based on unsubstantiated claims reverting back to Jordanian and Turkish law.
It is time for sovereignty to be applied to Judea and Samaria so that antiquated military law, along with a pro-Arab Israeli Supreme Court, can no longer dictate cruel sentences against law-abiding Jewish citizens.
