It brings me great comfort to see so many faces here and at the leviyah, it speaks volumes to David’s character that he could affect so many people from such different backgrounds. But at the same time, I am standing here next to my blood and to fallen soldiers even younger than I am, and it puts my life into a whole new perspective. My last message for us all to learn from David is that we cannot be bystanders to our own lives, rather we must live each day proactively.
