Apparently a policy of boycotting Israel isn’t enough for wealthy American Jews to abandon The New Israel Fund – Perhaps communist leadership will.
A leader of the NIF International Council, Avraham Burg, former Deputy Speaker of the Knesset has joined the communist party, and with it declared in Yediot Achronot that “Zionism is over”. NIF endorsed this vision a few months later hosting a speaking tour throughout the United States, where Burg discussed “The Struggle for the Soul of Israel.” Avraham Burg openly says the law of return which enables Jews to return to Israel and claim citizenship is similar to Nazi rule, and has called upon Israel to dismantle Yad Vashem.
In interviews, Burg says that “The Holocaust is a national strategy; or rather, trauma is a national strategy. The leadership promotes trauma, since it enables many things which an secure State and a secure society would not tolerate.”
In September 2003 Avraham Burg wrote in The Guardian that this is “The end of Zionism”, writing “Israel, having ceased to care about the children of the Palestinians, should not be surprised when they come washed in hatred and blow themselves up in the centers of Israeli escapism. They spill their own blood in our restaurants in order to ruin our appetites, because they have children and parents at home who are hungry and humiliated.”
Justifying Palestinian terrorism, calling The Holocaust “a national strategy,”, Anti-Zionist – and Avraham Burg is a leader of New Israel Fund, a leader of their International Council as can be seen on the NIF web-site. According to NGO-Monitor, NIF has granted at least $1.5 Million Dollars to Molad, a think-tank Burg founded.
Rosa Luxemburg, a prominent Bolshevik once said, “I have no room in my heart for Jewish suffering – Why do you pester me with Jewish troubles?”
If Jewish troubles aren’t enough for rich American Jews to abandon NIF, communist leaders declaring Zionism is over should be. We appeal to Barbara & Eric Dobkin, Carole and Saul Zabar, the Leichtag Foundation, Alisa Doctoroff, Edith Everett, The Lopatin Foundation and others to stand with Israel – and stop funding The New Israel Fund.
