If you see the whole context that surrounds the Swedish recognition of Palestine, then you understand that this is not part of a well thought out strategy to end the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians. It is about pleasing certain segments of the Swedish population who hate the Jewish state and who voted for the Social Democratic Party and the Green Party. A Swedish recognition of Palestine will not help anyone, as this recognition is more about what is happening in Sweden, where anti-Semitism is spreading while individual politicians emerge as the voice of the new Swedish anti-Semitism. So far, these mouthpieces for the new Swedish anti-Semitism were in the opposition. Now they can influence the policies of the government.
