Purim thus offers an opportunity to find the Divine within each other. The acts of charity, kindness and brotherly love we display are all testament to the relevance of mankind. Even the simplest of acts can carry the deepest of meaning. Amalek alas has been proven wrong. Every Purim we defeat this ancient enemy once again as we validate G-d’s faith in us and show that we do indeed make a difference.
[1] This is reflected in Yechezkel’s criticism of Egyptian homo-centrism: “Asher amar li yori v’ani asisani.”
