I looked at the photographs and there was Yoni in front of the bima giving thanks to Hashem for His many miracles and kindnesses.
I studied the pictures and thought back to what I’d told Yoni about the girl who one day would marry him. And I knew that very soon I’d be receiving an invitation to Yoni’s wedding and that we’d all be witnessing the fulfillment of the awesome prophecy “Od yishama be’arei yehuda – and joyous sound and gladness shall resound in the cities of Judea and the outskirts of Jerusalem. It shall be the voice of chassan and kallah.”
