Moshe, after 40 years of leading the Jewish people, lost some of his faith that the Jewish people could be successful. When that happens, it is time to consider abdicating one’s role as leader.

Teachers, too, who lose faith in their students should consider also whether their continuation as a teacher is in the best interest of their students.
