The nation was greatly impressed with Mordechai’s great wisdom, and their respect for him grew.  “No longer shall he be called Mordechai but rather Petachya, for the L-rd has opened his eyes and allowed him to see the light of wisdom and Torah,” they would say.

“In the same way our eyes have been opened so that we now know things we had not known before.”
