From the day I came back, almost two years ago, I’ve been wondering how come every gas station concession stand in Israel produces delicious coffee that’s so much tastier than the most expensive coffee joints in New York. The cost is about the same—between 2 and 3 dollars—but while in New York the coffee is usually burnt and bitter, in Israel it’s outstanding.

If that’s not a good reason to make aliyah, I don’t know what is.

Israel – come for the ideals, holy stuff, blah blah – stay for the coffee.
