Colors of the Herev Battalion

The IDF Herev-Sword Battalion (السيف الكتيبة‎), formerly known as the IDF Minorities Unit, is an Arabic-speaking unit of the Israel Defense Forces. Non-Jewish minorities also serve in the Druze Reconnaissance Unit and the Bedouin Trackers Unit.

Part of the basic training for new recruits in every IDF unit is the beret hike, a grueling track after which they’re deemed worthy of wearing the unit’s special beret.

I’ve no idea who picked the battalion flag colors. I would have gone with mauve.

Anyway, like every good soldier, the Herev soldiers love their moms.
