The proud warriors of Hamas’s Izz Al Dine Al Qassam Brigades carrying effigies of Shimon Peres, Benjamin Netanyahu and Ehud Barak in celebration of the 13th anniversary of the “Al Aksa Intifada” on the streets of the Nusairat refugee camp in central Gaza Strip.
The choice of whom to carry around the streets of Nusairat is questionable: Barak is no longer in office, Netanyahu was not in charge back in 2000, and Shimon Peres is pro-Palestinian state. Why pick them of all the vast list of Israeli culprits who could be used in this festival of hate?
Because they’re there, I suppose. It doesn’t really make a difference what their names are – they’re effigied because they’re Jews and Israelis – a lethal combination in Nusairat.
Happy hanging.
