The children of the town of Efrat in Gush Etzion wanted to say thank you to their Kitat Koninut, the town’s volunteer counter-terrorism rapid response team.

Day or night, rain or shine, whenever there’s even a hint of a potential terror attack, and no matter the personal risk, the unit runs out to protect their fellow citizens (and they go out plenty).

Throughout the week, the children of Efrat hung signs up around the town thanking the volunteers.

On Friday, the volunteers were surprised when their families each received a cake and a note from from the different schools and classes in town.

Needless to say, the team members were very touched and grateful for the outpouring of thanks and appreciation.
