Israel awarded its highest civilian medal for bravery on Tuesday posthumously to Ari Fuld, HY’D.
The Medal of Valor is the highest decoration the Public Security Minister is entitled to grant for an act of supreme heroism with the utmost trepidation.
Tuesday night’s ceremony, held by the Public Security Minister and the Commissioner, recognized Fuld posthumously for his courage and heroism when he saved the lives of civilians while fighting a terrorist who had already mortally wounded him in a terror stabbing attack at Gush Etzion junction on September 16.
The ceremony was also held to acknowledge the courage and heroism of police officers and civilians in their struggle against terrorism over the past three years.
