Air Force One in the early morning fog at Joint Base Andrews, Md., before departure on President Barack Obama’s trip to North Carolina, Jan. 15, 2014.
Personally, I hate flying. But if you gave me one of these, hey, I’d fly it. Even if I’m not the president, which I’m not, and can’t ever be, on account of my parents having me in Tel Aviv (something I never forgave them). Even if I’m only a guest, I’d fly it.
Are you kidding me? They got their own offices there, and a kitchen, and wifi—which I have in my apartment, but it doesn’t fly. The view doesn’t change from our living room panorama window. Same lawn, same palm tree, same snippet of the Mediterranean between two buildings across the street.
Of course, I can always tell myself we’re still sitting on the tarmac, like Air Force One in Andrews, in the early morning fog.
Fine, I’m jealous, happy now?
