It’s been noted that despite its small size, as you travel around Israel, you can experience completely different climates just a few hours drive from one location to the next – snow on the Hermon, sun in Eilat, dry deserts, misty beaches… It turns out, now you can experience Mars too.
Israeli scientists are participating in the D-MARS project to simulate life on Mars. They’ve set up camp in a location near Mitzpe Ramon, in southern Israel.
The D-MARS project is a space analog research center in Israel, founded by the Israeli Space Agency and the Israeli Ministry of Science, Technology and Space.
