Here’s a group of Israelis holding up protest signs as they take part in a march against the soaring cost of living. The march ended in front of Prime Minister Netanyahu’s residence in Jerusalem.

The sign says:

Increase
Raise the Allowances
of Social Security
We Want
to Live Honorably!

That the “live honorably” statement should co-exist with a demand for bigger allowances is a foreign notion to me.

You can ask for bigger donations from the state, which, I imagine, would go to the people who have more than you do, and take more from them to give to you.

How is that honorable?

In Israel, both the rulers and the people are so completely invested in a centralized nanny state, that the debate never comes near the notion of self help, community empowerment, demands for less government intervention, demands for lower taxes—so that more money stays in the community which can then take care of its own in specific and, yes, honorable ways.

Over here the population is so conditioned to suckle on the state’s teat, that the solution for economic problems is always: more teat!

I’ve never met people who were this un-free mentally. They must be educated to live as free and independent, not from the Arabs and America, but from our own government.
