Here’s the leader of the Jewish Home party Naftali Bennett, arriving at a meeting with Yair Lapid, leader of the Yesh Atid party and most likely Israel’s next prime minister unless he messes up real bad, and Israel’s current prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, at the latter’s office in Jerusalem, March 10, 2013.

The meeting lasted until 4 AM.

The deadline for a new government is this coming Saturday night. The Likud folks told reporters after the late night meeting that most issues have been hammered out, and they’re hoping to put the finishing touches on the coalition deal Monday morning.

Who knows. I just saw a wall ad that’s been posted everywhere, crying out: “Remember what Habayit Hayehudi did to you,” which is a very thick reference to Deut. 25:17 – “Remember what the Amalekites did to you.”

Is anyone monitoring what’s going on in the Haredi streets? Does anyone realize that this means a comparison between the Jewish Home party and, say, the Nazis?

They wanted a seat in government that badly?
