I’m not crazy about President Obama’s policy decisions, in fact, on a few of them I’m totally livid. I didn’t like it when he saved the banks instead of saving the American people and the American economy (saving banks didn’t do that). And I didn’t like it, I still don’t, when he sings the praises of a 2-state solution that everybody knows will never happen, but its pursuit will definitely cost many more lives on both sides of the security fence.

But I can’t get over what a cool dude he is. I mean, he sinks a 3-pointer on live television on a base in Kuwait – is that not cool? And over here, in this picture, released just this week, he seems to be genuinely enjoying the company of these pre-kindergartners at the College Heights Early Childhood Learning Center in Decatur, Ga.

He’s a lot like Reagan. I happen to believe that President Reagan caused some of the worst, long-lasting problems in the American economy, behaved like a frightened chicken in Lebanon, bankrupted the one world power willing to suppress the Islamist jihadists in Afghanistan, and recruited and trained Al Qaida. But could he deliver a joke!

Better than Jimmy Carter, anyway, who had a limited capacity for humor—or fun—and ran a disastrous presidency.

This is why I’m starting a campaign to run John Ham for president in 2016. He’s good looking, he’s good with the ladies, he can deliver a joke.

Shabbat Shalom from all of us here at The Jewish Press online edition, preparing for Purim in earnest.
