Natalie opens the show describing her recent visit to Park Timna in the Arava; Welcome “Ranger Ron” the only ranger in Israel who works at Park Timna and describes his aliyah to Kibbutz Yahel in 1977 as part of the reform movements’ effort to create something new in the Negev. Ron describes his dive into kibbutz life as a teen, his decision to learn agriculture to prepare for life as a kibbutznik, and his work today serving as Ranger at Park Timna.
