The Lebanese Prime Minister surprised the world in a televised speech from Saudi Arabia on Saturday – he announced his resignation from head of state. He accused Iran and its proxy, the Hezbollah, of destabilizing the Arab region, and even plotting his own assassination. His fleeing Lebanon has left the country in chaos.
In addition, Israel has promised its Druze population that it would be ready to go in and defend a neighboring village inside Syria, where many of these Druze have family. Are things spinning out of control in the region?
