My wife is going to drive me out there in a couple hours, to Binyamin Street, our main drag in Netanya. I’m looking for a set for under 100 shekel (30 bucks, tops). I shop for the four species of Sukkot the way I shop for shirts – the one nearest the door usually satisfies me. Like you, I’ve seen the pictures of Jews checking their holy fruits with magnifying glasses. I say, life’s too short.
