American culture is full of original interpretations of the national anthem, encouraged by the fact that all American sports matches begin with some entertainer or celebrity attempt to add their rendition to the archives. And, of course, there was the stunning SSB by Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock.
In Israel, those innovative attempts are not nearly as numerous, mostly because sports events here usually starts with the referee whistling.
Which makes this Lazer Lloyd gem of a jam session so wonderful.
Lazer Lloyd, aka “Israel’s King of the Blues,” is a blues, rock, and folk guitarist and singer/songwriter who’s been spreading love of the blues across Israel.
Now, who knows where the blues is mentioned in the Torah?
