U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman and former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee burn up the strings in a hot jam on stage in Jerusalem on Tuesday, playing Lynyrd Skynard’s classic 1973 tune, “Sweet Home Alabama.” Friedman was on rhythm guitar and Huckabee was on bass guitar.
It’s not the first time Huckabee has played bass, or performed on stage: he’s been a member of the band ‘Capitol Offense’ since 1996. Friedman was at one of his prior performances in 2017, but didn’t take the stage that day.
Was a joy and a thrill to perform tonight with Governor Mike Huckabee and his band from the Holy City of Jerusalem. No worries, I am keeping my day job! pic.twitter.com/nof8zuMXfe
