The Jerusalem District Attorney on Wednesday submitted to the District Court indictments against Mohammed Jaradat and Ahmed Nairokh, both Arabs from Kafr ‘Aqab, the northernmost Arab neighborhood in eastern Jerusalem, for robbery under aggravating circumstances, Hakol Hayehudi reported. According to the indictment, on December 30, 2015, the complainant was driving her jeep on route 436 which connects downtown Jerusalem with the Givat Ze’ev neighborhood. As she was driving, the vehicle driven by the defendants hit the rear of her jeep, creating the appearance of an accident and leading the complainant to stop her jeep by the side of the road, to find out what was going on.
Ahmed Nairokh got out of the car and approached the woman. When she opened her window and inquired about his condition, still believing this was an accident, Nairokh forced open the driver’s side door and started pulling her by her hair to force her out of the jeep. When he failed to get her out this way, he grabbed her hand, pulled her forcefully out of the car and threw her on the road.
He then got behind the jeep’s wheel and drove away. The complainant managed to grab the door and was dragged for several yards. When the Attacker saw her, he kicked her in the head and the hand, causing her to finally give up and fall off, yelling at her: “Call your police, see what they can do,” and drove away, followed by his partner in crime, Mohammed Jaradat.
They left the complainant lying injured on the road. She was later hospitalized and has been diagnosed with suffering from an emotional trauma. The carjackers stole her personal items along with her jeep.
Apparently, a little over a month later, police were able to do something about it…
