Over the past two months, Israeli security forces have arrested 21 Palestinian Authority Arabs for violent attacks against civilians and security personnel at Rachel’s Tomb, the resting place of the Biblical matriarch Rachel.
Among the suspects taken into custody were 16 minors; five adults were among those arrested.
The sacred site, located between Bethlehem and Jerusalem, is protected by the IDF and fortified by concrete barriers to prevent terrorist attacks.
The suspects are accused of rioting, hurling stones and carrying out attacks with improvised explosive devices (IEDs), Israel Police said.
