Abbas and the Temple Mount: "It's mine, all mine. No Jews allowed.

Israel’s closure of the Temple Mount and the Al Aqsa mosque is “a dangerous Israeli escalation [and] is a declaration of war on the Palestinian people and its sacred places and on the Arab and Islamic nation,” Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas said Thursday morning.

“We hold the Israeli government responsible for this dangerous escalation in Jerusalem that has reached its peak through the closure of the Al-Aqsa mosque this morning,” he added, directly quoted by his spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeina.

Abu Rudeina twisted the knife into the truth by added that “Jerusalem and its holy Muslim and Christian places are a red line and we won’t accept any harm to them.”

His lumping Christian sites with Muslim sites is part of Abbas’’ well-crafted strategy to paint Israel as threat to all religions other than Judaism.

The Christian world and international media have ignored the ever-increasingly popular Muslim cleric manifesto that the Jewish Holy Temples never existed, so the Palestinian Authority has every reason to expect that the world has forgotten that Jordan barred entry to Christian and Jewish holy sites during it occupation of Judea and Samaria and eastern Jerusalem from 1948 to 1967.

Exceptions were made for international leaders, but other than that, freedom of religion was restricted to Muslims. Abbas recently called for Jews to be banned from the Temple Mount.

The Palestinian Authority is counting on the United Nations and media monkeys to continue to quote its leaders without batting an eye or checking the facts.

That gives Abu Rudeina a free ticket to state that the first-ever closure of the Al Aqsa mosque “was a brazen challenge and dangerous behavior, and will lead to more tension and instability and create very dangerous atmosphere.”

This is the same Palestinian Authority that two days claimed it is not inciting. Abbas announced on Wednesday, “We do not want an intifada. We are not calling for an intifada.”

Accusing Israel of declaring war is not a call for incitement just like “resistance” is not violence” and “negotiations” does not “ultimatum.”

His spokesman on Thursday was careful to add that the “declaration of war” was against “both the Arab and Islamic nations.”

If you are going to war, you want all the allies in your camp.

However, the Arab world really does not care much about the Palestinian Authority and Mahmoud Abbas, who simply is a convenient tool for them to make trouble for Israel without their having to do the dirty work themselves.

Closing the mosque need is unprecedented and boils Muslim blood, which is not such a difficult task.

Israeli police allowed only a few Arab guards and the Muslim director of the Al Aqsa compound to enter the area on Thursday.

“It is unacceptable that the Al-Aqsa Mosque pays a toll for the events in Jerusalem. The mosque is a place for prayer and worship and all Muslims have the right to access it,” the director was quoted as saying by the Bethlehem-based Ma’an News Agency.

Abbas’ allegation that Israel has declared war brings the Temple Mount to its eventual and rightful place as the red line that for the time being is painted in blood.

Yasser Arafat, before he trashed the concept of the Nobel Peace Prize by manipulating the word to successfully exploit terror to make peace, something like stabbing someone in the back out of love, used the Temple Mount to spark the Second Intifada.

That “resistance” effort also was known as the Oslo War but which in reality simply was the continuation of the first intifada, which took a rest for a couple of years while Arafat sedated the world with evil.

Ariel Sharon, who was running for Prime Minister against the hapless Ehud Barak in 2000, marched on to the Temple Mount during his campaign, giving Arafat the “declaration of war” that he needed to kill Jews for peace.

The State of Israel has given Abbas the same opportunity. It only was a matter of time until Abbas could turn around the truth for the world of lies and convince Arabs – the ones just waiting for a green light to go on a rampage against Jews.

But as Abbas said, “Who, me” starting an intifada?”
