Netanyahu has dutifully declared his support for a PA state – but thankfully not at the price of Israeli security, nor — as he put it on Jerusalem Day — at the cost of dividing “Israel’s heart,” Jerusalem.
The Palestinian Authority is demanding that Israel hand over all areas that were won during the 1967 Six Day War, including all of the Old City of Jerusalem, including the holiest sites in Judaism, the Western Wall and the Temple Mount, and numerous Jewish neighborhoods that have existed in the nation’s capital for more than forty years. The PA also demands that Israel free all terrorist prisoners, among them bloodthirsty murderers responsible for the deaths of numerous Israelis, and that Israel allow all Arab refugees – and their millions of foreign descendants — to return to the homes they left during the 1948 War of Independence and after – some of which no longer even exist. For its part, the PA refuses to recognize Israel as a Jewish State, nor will it allow even one Jew to set foot on its territory once the borders are set, and its state is established, regardless of whether any Jew had lived within those boundaries up to that point.
