Arab rioters on the road near Tekoa attacked a group of IDF soldiers with stones, on Monday afternoon.
The soldiers returned fire with anti-riot weapons.
One rioter was hit in the chest and was seriously injured.
He was treated by IDF and MDA medics, but has since died from his injuries.
Arab sources report at least 5 rioters were injured.
