In the late afternoon hours on Sunday, a 25-year-old man was slightly injured after being struck by stones thrown by Palestinian Arabs at the A-Zaim security checkpoint outside Jerusalem.
Magen David Adom emergency medical responders treated the victim at the scene and then transported him to Jerusalem’s Hadassah Medical Center at Mount Scopus.
Palestinian Arab terrorists also attacked Israeli motorists a few hours earlier as their vehicle passed the Arab village of Beit Omar on Highway 60, between Gush Etzion and Kiryat Arba.
Two Israelis were wounded by stones thrown at the vehicle; the car was damaged as well. Both victims were treated at the scene by medics.
The attackers managed to escape.
Shortly after noon and towards Jerusalem, Palestinian Arabs in Abu Dis threw stones during what they called a “protest march.” No injuries were reported. Abu Dis is located in “Area B” of the Palestinian Authority – that is, an area under joint Israeli and PA control.
Clashes meanwhile reportedly took place between Palestinian Arabs and Israeli security forces at the Huwara checkpoint north of Jerusalem in Samaria. The violence started with the arrival of Arabs who said they were marching from An-Najah University in Shechem (Nablus).
