The Poriya Medical Center in Tiberias has reported that a woman who gave birth on the labor floor this weekend was diagnosed with the measles virus, according to Israeli media.

The new mother was transferred to a quarantined area, and those who came into contact with her had their vaccination status checked. In addition, the hospital was forced to immunize 26 newborns in order to minimize the health risk to the babies as well.

The Health Ministry said there was no risk of exposure to the other new mothers and/or other patients at the hospital.
