American Airlines Flight 2829 to Phoenix, Arizona, a Boeing 737 jet, was forced to abort its takeoff from JFK International Airport in New York City on Tuesday after two tires blew.

The aircraft came to rest safely on the tarmac, according to local media.

The passengers were not injured and were taken back to the terminal.
